How it works

A short path from home problem to useful next step

The directory is designed to make the available facts easier to read—not to make the homeowner’s decision for them.

1

Choose a service and area

Start with the problem, city, or ZIP so the directory can narrow service-area matches.

2

Read the evidence labels

Compare what was provided, checked, not supplied, or last updated—plus any sponsor disclosure.

3

Contact or request help

Use a business contact when available or send one request for routing without assuming a match.

Why use the resource

Less guessing, more context

Useful directory information should tell you what is known, where it came from, and what still needs to be checked.

Precise status language

“Provided,” “checked,” and “not supplied” are different states and stay different on the page.

Service-area first

City and category matching comes before placement, so a result should fit the actual request area.

Tools you can use

Comparison questions help you review estimates and evidence without requiring an account.

Contractor Comparison Checklist

Review scope, business details, evidence, payments, permits, and warranties side by side. It works without an account and avoids fake exact pricing.

When the problem feels urgent

Protect people first. Then document and request service.

Leave unsafe areas and contact 911, the utility, or another appropriate emergency authority when there is fire, shock, structural danger, gas, contaminated water, or an immediate threat. Trusted Home Pros is not an emergency-response service.

For contractors

Claim a profile and clarify the public record.

Start ownership verification, supply accurate business details, and see where your digital presence can be improved. A claim does not automatically verify licenses, insurance, or performance.

Start a claimHow contractor profiles work

Clearly disclosed placement

Ask whether a category and territory are available.

Sponsor inquiries are qualified by service and area. No exclusivity, placement, price, or territory is promised until it is confirmed in writing and activated.

Check sponsor availability

Published methodology

Placement never silently becomes proof.

Profile ownership, credentials, ratings, service details, and sponsorship use separate labels. The public directory begins with transparent completeness indicators instead of a mysterious score.

Read the methodology

Ownership

Claimed status refers to the profile-ownership process only.

Freshness

Checked facts should show a date; stale or missing data stays visible.

Sponsorship

Paid placement is disclosed and does not change evidence status.

Common questions

What the directory does—and does not—mean

Does a listing mean Trusted Home Pros recommends the business?

No. Directory inclusion is not an endorsement or guarantee. Each profile should be read using its specific source, ownership, license, insurance, rating, and update labels.

What does owner-verified profile mean?

It means the platform completed its business-ownership step for that profile. It does not, by itself, verify licensing, insurance, quality, availability, or suitability for a project.

Does sponsorship mean a contractor was verified?

No. Sponsorship is paid placement and is labeled separately. It does not change the evidence states shown on a profile.

Will every help request receive a contractor match?

No match is guaranteed. Requests are checked for service and territory fit, and routing depends on available capacity.

Why are some profiles labeled demonstration only?

The first production shell uses static, noindex fixtures to prove the search and profile experience before approved real business records are published.
